OverclockersUK Higher Clock Speeds

Go to solution Solved by Katsunaka,

Yeah. 1% is a minor difference that could be a variance between cards.

It's a small enough difference it wouldn't amount to a noticeable change in performance from one to another.

Enjoy your soon to be card.

Hello LTT community,

I am looking to get the EVGA GTX 1080 FTW and I have been looking at multiple sites. I have noticed that OverclockersUK listing for the card have a higher clock speed than Scan.

I don't know if this is a typo or not but I was just seeing if of you knew?

Thanks Guys

Ah there's a roughly 1% difference.

One could be using what EVGA claims it runs at, and the other could be using a real number it runs at in the OS.

Scan is using EVGA's figures.

Maybe OCUK is using a real number pulled from the OS in a program like EVGA's precision X or MSI Afterburner.

So in other words there will be no difference and they will both work exactly the same (give or take)?
