iPhone 7 vs One Plus 3

The iPhone 7 is a better phone specs wise, the processor is faster - although most flagships are fast enough anyway, the camera will probably be far better, the battery life will most likely be better, iOS is far better optimized for the hardware it runs on, apps generally run better on iOS, and if you don't mind the fact that iOS is closed and not as customize-able, then it would probably be better for you. Not to say that the OP3 is slow, because it isn't, it is one of the fastest android phones. Also I have had no problems with my OP3.

 

The iPhone is quite an expensive phone - possibly even overpriced, especially compared to the OP3, so it really comes down to whether you want to spend the extra money on it.

Hi. Currently I have an iPhone 5; this thing is due for an upgrade. I have email and itunes content synced to icloud. I also use imessage and facetime. Should my next phone be a one plus 3 or an iphone 7? Do the benefits of the one plus 3 outweigh those of the iphone? I understand that the one plus 3 is rockin specs wise, but will the iphone 7 be much better? (Please do not let your hate for apple control your response)

I currently own a SAMSUNG Galaxy S6 Edge. BUT, the iPhone 7, assuming there's not some unknown issue with it, appears to be a better offering than anything else Android has to offer. It will most likely perform better due to how suited the software is to the hardware and have more updates. The camera processing Apple does will also most likely yield better photos, even if the OnePlus 3 has better specs. Probably everything about the iPhone will be more streamline and have a better experience.

Well I know a guy he is on his 3rd One Plus three because they have problems....

The iPhone 7 is a better phone specs wise, the processor is faster - although most flagships are fast enough anyway, the camera will probably be far better, the battery life will most likely be better, iOS is far better optimized for the hardware it runs on, apps generally run better on iOS, and if you don't mind the fact that iOS is closed and not as customize-able, then it would probably be better for you. Not to say that the OP3 is slow, because it isn't, it is one of the fastest android phones. Also I have had no problems with my OP3.

 

The iPhone is quite an expensive phone - possibly even overpriced, especially compared to the OP3, so it really comes down to whether you want to spend the extra money on it.

Personally, I wouldn't even bother jailbreaking.  It's not that unofficial software can't do more, but the gap between that and standard iOS is shrinking quickly.  That and jailbreaks are less secure by nature.

Good point, but there are a few things that I like on oxygen os (like a dark theme), removing icon names, etc. Also, there are some pretty useful tweaks that ios 10 isnt including, but you are right, i guess we will see, a jailbreak must be developed first...
