Folding with GPU

I recently started folding on my main rig here and there and it seems like the WU that my gpu is working on right now is  taking alot longer than it should. Is it normal to run this slow? I'm also folding on my laptop (specs in sig) and the WU my GPU in my laptop is working on is taking a long time too (ETA 1.92 days).

Folding it using your computer for stamford university. Basically You are using your computer to help out with medical research to help to find cures. Instead of using one super computer to do any calculations, Its using many computers world wide to help do tests etc.

What is protein folding?

If we better understand protein misfolding we can design drugs and therapies to combat these illnesses.

advanced client rather than the web 

interface?

 

The ETA i am seeing is 10 hours though.

Check your temps and clockspeed.

I woul say its normal considering you fold with a gtx 770. You have to fold with better hardware if you want faster finish.

I tried to fold with my GTS 450 last year and one WU would take ~10 days to finish. Now my gtx 1070 does a big WU in like 10 hours

Everything looks to be in order as

far as i can tell? 

 

You should get yourself a passkey

though if you haven't already, atleast

it looks like yours isn't valid yet. 

That should increase your ppd quite

abit once you have returned atleast 

10 wu's with it. 

 

Also, you are folding for the wrong
