Just wondering is there any sort of SNES, Genesis, or NES emulator that has a no lag option? Like it won't have the lag that you would generally have on native hardware? in the past i have used SNES9x and other emulators and haven't seen a way to do that and would love to be able to have steady 60fps emulation in classic mega man games without sprite flicker and the like :P

No, because flickering and slow down is a problem with the CPU. Software is also heavily tied to CPU speed like in old DOS games, so if you mess with the CPU performance, it starts messing up the timing of the software itself.

Unfortunately, this isn't possible. The hardware and software are coded to specifically work with each other. Adding software-emulation adds another layer that requires work.

What CPU do you use? What games are flickering for you? What settings do you have on the emulator?

I'm talking about like when you are emulating like Mega Man 2.

Have you tried VirtuaNES? Have you tried downloading from emuparadise.me? They have some hacks that may fix your issue.

I just tried Mega Man 2 and beat Air-Man's ugly face without any flickering.
