how can i know if startup repair is starting from windows 7 CD or HDD

i will try changing boot device from bios

so the title is the main question and when i ran startup repair it said it detected no issues but other people with my problem got it fixed with that but they said it didn't work when they did a startup repair from the HDD so how do i know can you please tell me? 

 

and am i soposed to change boot drive to the cd or something

but it didn't detect any problem  :mellow: i guess i am stuck with no windows updates
