First Ever Build

Go to solution Solved by Mr.Meerkat,

Looks fine :D, you can get a higher quality PSU for the same price (like a bronze rated PSU from seasonic) but that unit is solid enough for this build anyway so nothing to worry about that much ;)

Hey guys, I'm going to buy the parts for my first ever gaming PC this weekend. I thought I'd just throw this on here and hopefully get some feedback.

The build:

Mobo: Msi b150m PC mate

CPU: i5 6500

RAM: HyperX 8gb 2133 ddr4

gpu: Sapphire nitro+ RX 480 (or similar)

PSU: Be quiet 500w 80+ silver

Storage: WD blue 1tb

Case: TBD but in the €50-70 range

Any recommendations, problems or tips would be much appreciated. Because I don't want to fuck this up. Thanks

Your build is perfect but you can add a ssd for faster boot up time.

For case you can go with Phanteks eclipse p400.

I'm on a tight budget atmosphere so no. But it will be my first upgrade.

Also I think I'm gonna buy a bitfenix shinobi for the case

Efficiency=/=quality, all Seasonic PSUs are very reliable and well frankly when you compare their similarly priced units, you'll find the SS units to be better in quality (for example, every single PSU they make is made with Japanese 105C capacitors which is good for longevity and it's also a good indicator for quality :D)

I see. I don't know much about the specifics of power supplies. I'll look into a seasonic one instead then. Thanks for the tip
