extra standoffs can be very bad indeed, much worse than not enough. just remove them either with an adapter if you have one (many cases come with one) or use pliers. You might be fine, but don't risk it :P

EDIT: From what it looks like in the pic of this particular situation:

If it's just the three bottom ones that follow a line, it's unlikely they short anything out as the board likely doesn't have any components (which would have exposed solder points) that close to the edge and more likely consists of a ground plane which wouldn't be an issue if it conducted to the case in the event it wasn't covered with the black soldermask (which it is) but honestly it's always best to not have any standoffs in place that aren't needed.

Can you explain a bit more :)
So if the standoff is in the right position of the motherboard but its not screwed up. Is it safe? or you mean this standoff in the picture can touch the corner of the motherboard? thats dangerous?

You should ideally only have standoffs in place that the motherboard has holes for, and have all those holes filled with screws to match the standoffs. If you don't have enough standoffs or screws to fill all the matching holes in the motherboard (let's say missing one or two) you should be fine, but it isn't ideal as the board can flex around more while moving/installing parts. Having extra standoffs leaves the potential to short electronic components on the motherboard. Also, see me my previous post
