GTX 1070 ROG STRIX or GTX 1080 ROG STRIX

I am going to buy a new graphics card and I'm settled on either the 1070 or 1080 ROG Strix. I don't really have a budget, but I definitely want to save money if I can. I know the 1080 is much more powerful and 4k capable bla bla bla, but I cant decide if its worth the extra $350.

My PC is a 6700k, Asus Maximus viii hero, Corsair h100i, and an AX860i power supply. Also, I plan to run a 165hz 2k monitor and use my tv and laptop as my secondary displays. No VR by the way. Also, I do YouTube and need to be able to record at 1080p or 1440p in 60fps. Obviously all of this is going to require more than a Russet potato, but I don't want to completely overkill it and be broke. Thanks:D

A 1070 is good for 1080p 144Hz, so if you want to get 165fps at 1440p then you definitely want a 1080.

They all perform the same on average so go with what looks good and is affordable.
