Hey guys,

I currently own a Zotac GTX 1070 AMP! (not an FE PCB) and it gets hotter than I would like under load. I currently have no overclock on it, and it reaches a max of about 82-83c under load. I want to get the NZXT G10 bracket, but I don't know if it will fit on my card.

Help would be much appreciated!

Thanks!

Ethan

I am running the G10 bracket with an H105 AIO on my 1080 FTW. It should work fine.

Ok. And your 1080 FTW is not a reference PCB, correct? Sorry I'm a complete noob when it comes to this stuff...

No need to apologize! We all started somewhere. That is correct. My FTW is a custom PCB.

I am surprised you aren't getting decent temps out of your card though. My first 1080 was the Amp, and it stayed nice and cool.

Yeah, it sits at around 57c at idle. It was reaching a max of 74c a few days ago, but I don't know what happened...I have 2 intake fans running in push on my H100i, another intake fan at the top, and one exhaust fan.

Ahhhh.. I did not realize that was how the S340 was setup. Now that I am looking at a photo of it, it does seem a little cramped. You can only install 1 fan in the top of it? I had absolutely no clue it only accepted one up top.

You are pretty well limited with what you can do. The way I see it, you have a few options.

1. flip the radiator which would probably help your GPU temps, but will increase CPU temps

2. ramp up the fan curve on the Amp to see if it gets the temps within a range you are happy with

3. liquid cool it with the G10 and a 120mm closed loop cooler (this is my favorite option :P)

If you do decide you want to liquid cool it, I will be finishing my how-to video in another week or so. It will be step by step, but to be honest, it really isn't difficult at all.

Ok. Sounds great! One question though. What do you mean flip my radiator? Like turn the fans around?

I was pretty vague when I said to flip the radiator- sorry about that!! I meant change the fans so that they are pushing air from the inside of the case through the radiator and out of the case. If you do this, it will help exhaust some of that hot GPU air out of the case, but a downside is that your CPU temps will increase.

Ok. I don't think I want to do that just because I have overclocked my CPU and at load right now, it gets up to 70c, around 35c at idle. Thanks for the suggestions!!! I will definitely get that G10.

One thing though. I just went onto NZXT's site and did a compatibility check with the G10 and turns out it won't fit on my GPU. I hate the way Zotac designed the card. The PCB is unlike anything you've seen before. It's outrageous. Picture is below. I know it says 1080. The PCB is the exact same though.

The G10 will definitely still work. If you notice, on their compatibility chart, it says nothing about my card being compatible either, but it is.

No I did the compatibility checker, not looking on the list. How does it attach to the card? Screws? Because if the screw holes are in the wrong place, I don't want to have to return it or drill holes in the G10...

It attaches with screws and they line up perfectly. The mounting dimensions are the same on Pascal as they were on Maxwell.
