Hi everyone!

I need help in deciding which parts to get regarding to my PC upgrade.

Basics:

1. Budget & Location
Budget: 600 € (euros) (I could stretch budget by 50 € if there is any considerable gain in performance.)
Location: Estonia (in the Baltic region of Northern Europe)

2. Aim
Web browsing, gaming.
E.g. Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, Watch_Dogs 2.

3. Monitors
Amount: 1
Current resolution: 1024x768
After upgrade: 1920x1080

4. Peripherals
OS: Windows 7 pro SP1 64-bit

5. Why are you upgrading?
To modernize the system by clearing out hardware bottlenecks and to build a solid foundation for future upgrades.

In depth:

So, i've been upgrading my system step-by-step and clearing out hardware bottlenecks ever since i bought it as a set back in 2006.

I feel that currently my CPU is the bottleneck in my system and i've decided to switch it out.
While i'm at it, i might as well switch out MoBo too.
And since MoBo is getting switched out, i'm planning to upgrade my OS as well to a Win7 pro SP1 64-bit.

My current PC specs:
MoBo: ECS A750GM-M v.7.0 AM2+ (mATX)
CPU: AMD Athlon II X2 250, Regor, 3.0GHz, Socket AM3, 65W, Dual-Core Processor, (ADX250OCGQBOX)
GPU: Club3D Radeon HD 7770 GHz Edition (1GB)
PSU: 520W SeaSonic S12II-520
RAM: 2x Apacer 2GB DDR3 PC10600/1333 128x 8 CL9.0 (4GB in total)
Storage
System: Kingston HyperX 3K, 240GB, (SH103S3B/240G)
Data 01: WD Caviar Blue, 3.5", 500GB, SATA3, 600Mb/s, 7200rpm, 16MB cache, (WD5000AAKX)
Data 02: WD Caviar Blue, 3.5", 1TB, SATA3, 600MB/s, 7200rpm, 64MB cache, (WD10EZEX)
Case: Chieftec GIGA SERIES // DF-02B-U3
Cooling

CPU: stock heatsink + stock 80mm fan
Case front: Akasa Fan 120mm, LED Green, 1200 RPM, 17.5 dB(A), (AK-274cg-4gns)
Case rear: Akasa Fan 120mm, LED Green, 1200 RPM, 17.5 dB(A), (AK-274cg-4gns)
Case side: 2x Akasa Fan 120mm, LED Green, 1200 RPM, 17.5 dB(A), (AK-274cg-4gns)
Case bottom: Artic F12 120mm
Display: Topview T2491Wd
OS: Windows XP pro SP2

As said earlier, my budget is 600 € (euros) that includes: MoBo, CPU, CPU cooler and OS.
Other things, e.g. new RAM, isn't affected by budget since they're fairly cheap.
Another note: I will be buying only brand new items, so, i do not want to hear any suggestions about used items (even if they're cheaper).

Oh, i won't be doing any OC at the time but it's nice when you have the ability to OC whenever the situation demands it.

1st i looked which MoBo to get since MoBo is the foundation of any system.
Found this one that seems promising: MSI Z170A GAMING M5, Z170, DualDDR4-2400, SATA3, SATAe, HDMI, DVI, USB 3.1, ATX
What you guys think about this MoBo?
I think this MoBo is a solid foundation with good upgradability for future upgrades.
Do note that while my current MoBo is mATX, my case supports ATX and i want to have ATX MoBo aswell.

Since i chosed out my new MoBo, i looked onwards on which CPU to get.
This CPU seems to be fair: INTEL Core i5-6500 3.2GHz LGA1151 6MB Cache up to 3.60GHz FC-LGA14C Skylake Box
Any ideas about this one? Is there any other CPU's whos performance to price ratio is better?

Oh, picked out new RAM also to get things started: 1x Kingston 4GB 2133MHz DDR4 Non-ECC CL15 DIMM SR x8, (KVR21N15S8/4)

Another thing that i'm still unsure besides which CPU to get, is which CPU cooler to get.
I'm not too keen about using the default cooler that comes with CPUs.
For now, picked out this one: Arctic Cooling CPC Intel Arctic Freezer i32 CO, Intel 2011-v3/1150/1151/1155/1156
Any thoughts?

As far as prices go at my primary retailer, currently they are:
Intel i5-6500 - 212,90 €
MSI Z170A Gaming 5 - 178,20 €
Artic Freezer i32 - 45,50 €
Win7 pro SP1 x64 - 146,90 €
Total: 583,50 €

Got a consern about my new PC setup though.
Is my current PSU enough to support the new system? Even when i upgrade my GPU to a more powerful one that may consume more power?
(Keep in mind that while currently i won't switch out my current GPU, i do plan switch it out some day since it will be the new bottleneck in my system.)

Oh, i got about 30 or so days to decide before i'll buy the new items.

I'd wait for AMD Zen if you can. I'm not say I'm rooting for AMD, I am, I'm just not saying it. I'm hoping Zen makes a splash so Intel can build AMD a kiddy pool for Reds to play in.

I just scimmed, so if I missed something let me know. At 600$ I wouldn't aim for overclocking. It's cheaper to buy a non overclocking build. Here are the parts I would recommend upgrading and I what I suggest you upgrade too.

Not sure how to change currency of pcpp on mobile but this should be less than 600 euros.

dont buy a z170 mobo, your cpu can not overclock.
so buy a h110, h170, b150 mobo and save money

Like stated above, i'm still unsure wich CPU to get. I know that i5-6500 has some OC issues.

It's easy to say: "wait a little more to get a better part" and after that: "if you wait some more, you can get even better part" etc. The reality is that i can wait forever since better and better parts are made every day.

Also, i prefer buying parts that are thoroughly tested rather than brand new parts that no-one knows exactly how well they perform.

600 euros at current rate makes 674.47 us dollars. If to include my budget stretch then it would be 730.67 us dollars.

I'm not aiming for OC, just stated that it's nice to have the ability to tweak the system when needed (e.g after few years parts are getting old and need a little bit more juice out of them).

Checked your pcpp list and compared MSI B150 PC MATE to a MSI Z170A. While B150 is cheaper, i can only use RAM that is 2133 Mhz. Z170A in the other hand gives me fexibility on which RAMs to use, up to 3600 Mhz.

The RAM you suggested runs at 2400 Mhz while B150 supports only 2133 Mhz. It's a waste of money when system needs to downgrage RAM speed to run.

Oh, i won't be buying a new GPU at this time, no need to suggest it.

And you forgot that my budget also includes OS.

Why i'm getting the feeling that you guys here take the CPU as a baseline and build up from there? MoBo is the foundation of any PC and atleast i take MoBo as a baseline and build up from it.

the i5 6500 doesnt have OC issues
it literally does NOT overclock. it does not have an unlocked multiplier and was never meant to be overclocked.

With that said the i5 6500 is still a very capable CPU and can easily handle games without issues.

Even when i5-6500 doesn't have full OC support, it can be tweaked in the form on BCLK adjustments. Provided that MoBo supports BCLK adjustments.

Here's nice article about OC-ing Skylake CPUs: http://wccftech.com/intel-skylake-nonk-processors-feature-overclocking-support-adjustable-bclk-memory-igpu-oc/

Hi! So, your build is great! But needs upgrade on CPU later

Other than that it fills your needs before
