So I've upgraded from my 7970 to a GTX 690. (I just really like the look of the card and it was hella cheap)

But due to it being so old I've not seen many benchmarks on it for current games, so does anyone on the forums own or know anyone that owns one who'd be able to let me know what these cards are like for modern gaming?

Thanks

My friend has one and he says he gets around 30 fps in the bf1 beta, combined with an x4 860.

That's pretty interesting.
Maybe the CPU bottlenecks the GPU or it just doesn't scale well.
My 7970 teamed with a 4770K runs it at around 50-60FPS on the highest settings.

IIRC its about a 980, migh be less then that tho

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)

The 690 is in an optimal situation like 70-80% faster than your single 7970. Now, sadly the Kepler architecture does not do too well in the modern games, with good sli scaling you'll still have acceptable performance however.

within 10% of a 980ti with proper SLI support

within 20% if forced sli support works

within 40% if forced sli does not work
