Someone with a GTX1060 3GB that can tell me the FPS you are getting

Hi,

I play at 1080p 60hz and I'm still deciding between GTX1060 and GTX1070.

 

If you have the GTX1060 3GB, can you tell me the FPS you are getting please?.

 

I play:

  1. Doom
  2. GTA V
  3. Assasins Creed Syndicate
  4. Fallout 4
  5. Star Wars
  6. Shadow of Mordor
  7. The Witcher 3
  8. The Division
  9. The Sims 4
  10. Paragon

I would like to know the FPS using High or Ultra please....

I like to play with High details and I want to know which GPU is best to handle that kind of details.

By the sounds of it you should get a 1060 6gb. A 1070 is more suited for 1440 60fps and 3gb of ram is a little low of you plan on cranking up all the settings.

I sawe a revide on youtube and they say that between 3gb and 6gb is not a lot of difference, just like 5-6 fps between them.

It may not make a huge fps difference but it could result in a LOT of stuttering and frame time dips which is not something you want.

 

I saw one video though by Digital Foundry where because the VRAM was filled up the 1060 3gb was performing noticeably worse than the rx 480 4gb...

Go for the 6gb 1060.

I have a 970 which is basically 3.5 and I cant max out those titles because even if I'm getting 100fps in doom, the vram is full and you get stuttering, trust me you need 6gb for modern AAA games.

For now, if you're going to upgrade the card within 2 years then sure.
