So it's come to my attention that my OnePlus one is having issues with it's mic and I sound really muffled when I talk to people so I'm thinking it's time to replace it.

I haven't really paid attention to the phone market and need some suggestions on what to get, my requirements are listed below:

-Good battery life (must be able to last at least one day of normal use e.g. light gaming, web browsing, texting, etc.)

-1080P screen (I don't really see the point in anything higher than that on something as small as a phone other than jacking up the price.)

-Hopefully better specs than the OPO.

-Max price of $400-$450.

I'd like to root it so something that is easily rootable and has decent custom ROM support but it's not really a requirement as I can live without it.

This maybe sounds weird but I recommend getting the OnePlus 3, they really grew up as a company.

It got better specs, camera, screen and batter life.

Plus with the oxygen os, it's my go to android phone.

I've thought about the OnePlus 3 but I'm still kind of tentative on it. I've only had the OnePlus One since January of last year and I'm already needing to replace it due to the mic issue. Has their build quality improved with the 3?

Yes, this is their "No compromises and a bit more expensive" model.
