Get a different PSU, pick something form Tier 1 or Tier 2 from the PSU tier list in my signature. I'd also go with a 6700k and a cheaper motherboard. And get Windows from Kinguin, G2a, or /r/softwareswap.Also get an SSD.

What do you want it to be able to do? Why do you have a 144hz monitor?

Mainly gaming

Which games? And don't listen to people that tell you to buy from g2a/kinguin/reddit or this will happen to you. Their dumbass logic is "it's cheap so if/when it revokes you can just buy another one and it'll still be cheaper than a full license!"

Gta5, Battlefield, Cod, fallout, csgo, the witcher 3 and some other ones

    since you can't play in a resolution better than 1080p (because of your monitor)...you can play most all current games in full HD with a much cheaper build.
or get a 4K Monitor...the "144Hz" is just a price booster..if this is your first build you probably wouldn't notice the difference between a 60Hz and a144Hz Monitor.

1. That case is fairly rare -- else you would have people constantly posting that on the forums.

2. That argument is entirely valid.....I'd rather buy two $30 keys than one $90 key.

144hz is definitely not just a "price booster". It is a very noticeable difference. Whether or not he cares about the difference is something only he can decide. I personally have a 144hz monitor and I can definitely tell it's smoother, but I get distracted enough by the game/s I'm playing that I don't notice the added smoothness too much -- but that's definitely not the opinion of all (or even most) people.

You're counter argument is not valid, buying windows from Microsoft is the only legal way to get it. You are breaking the law if you buy from G2A and those discount sites. It is illegal and should be avoided at all times.

By any chance do you J-walk? How about speeding? Singing Happy Birthday? Drinking under age? Littering? Biking without a helmet? Not cleaning up after a pet? texting and driving?

All the above are also illegal in most places yet 99% of people do at least one of those things. It's a grey area at best -- it's against Microsoft's TOS to distribute MSDN keys, but there's nothing wrong with using/buying one. If you choose to avoid it on a moral level, that's one thing, but there is no other reason to avoid buying from a third party seller.

There is something wrong with using/buying one, you're breaking Microsoft's terms of service. Comparing a product you buy with money to doing an action is different.

Grey area?? like the tenuous link between the back of your skull and your mouth piece?

How is that a grey area exactly?

A theft thieves a thieve-able item;

You buy from said thief;

Ergo, are you not a Keanu Reeves meme right now?

And I think you're being irrational. You can't just arbitrarily decide where to draw the line between legal/illegal activities. Doing any of the aforementioned activities are just as bad as buying a key from Kinguin.

You're also making the assumption that the keys are all illegal, which again, isn't the case.

Actually, I'm not drawing a line between what is legal and illegal, Microsoft ToS did, and by buying a key from these irresonsible, untrustworthy, and illegally ran sites is worse than what you mentioned above.

ok ok. Since we're ALL drawing arbitrary lines of criminality here (where it suits us)

If you swindly swindle your way to a set of keys to get in to a work place;

You have fully intend on misrepresenting your duties there;

The swindler isn't yet a swindler until he sells them to someone else;

The guy who buys the keys (making the swindler, indeed a swindler), knows what he's doing. He's shitting in another mans boots! - the boots are in the office for which the keys he just brought access.

What’s with this guy drawing links to misdemeanors? Isn't he admitting that it's illegal, aka fundamentally wrong and thus should be punished to discourage further indiscretions?

An i7 already makes a difference in some games and the number of games that benefit from an i7 will only continue to grow as time goes on.

http://www.techspot.com/review/1089-fallout-4-benchmarks/page5.html (i7 is 10%~ faster)

http://www.techspot.com/review/1180-overwatch-benchmarks/page5.html (i7 is 30%~ faster)

A 6700k will make a far bigger impact in gaming than an 850 Evo would over a cheap TLC-based SSD. In fact, unless you're going to run benchmarks constantly or copy data to/from another equally fast drive you will never notice the difference between something like an SP550 and an 850 Evo. It will also have a far bigger impact than spending an extra $40 on a motherboard or an extra $20 on overclocked RAM (especially since you can just buy cheaper RAM and overclock it). Or spending an extra $30 on an overkill PSU (not to mention there are equally good and cheaper options than a $100 650w G2).
