So I ordered 3 screen protectors in anticipation of my phone coming today.

I ordered 3 as I've heard people saying lots of the curved ones are just secured in place by double sided tape around the edge.

I bought 2 cheap ones that were less than a tenner and the 3rd was 20£

Well 1 arrived cracked..and just like the other 2 had the tape around the edge..

So basically does anyone know of any curved protectors with the usual optical adhesive used on protectors like ultimate shield or phantom glass!?

Really don't want to not have one as I always have !

To be honest, you're going to have problems with any type of glass scree protector that you attempt to install on your Note 7.  I gave up on glass with curved screens a long time ago.

Now I'm using a wet application type on my Note 7 and it's perfect.  Stay away from the Zagg wet install version.  I'm reading of all kinds of problems with them lifting at the edges and corners.

What brand are you using out or curiosity?

I tried on on the back of my note 5 and it felt terrible and tested the s pen to see how it glided (how it would glide**) and it wasn't great lol and the one in my smart watch is almost a little tacky all the time.

I've had the same experience with most "self healing" type screen protectors.  What I've discovered now that I'm using the Gadget Guard brand is that the other ones were too thick.  When I would write on the screen, you could literally see the impression left behind by the SPen, which was beyond annoying.  As a result of their thickness, they also felt very tacky/rubbery.

I bought the Gadget Guard because I was basically out of options as none of the others were working right.  It's a lot thinner than the rest and the SPen does no leave impressions at all on the surface of the screen protector when I use it.  It's much better than the others I've used as far as glide.  Still not perfect like glass, but definitely not bad at all.  I know what you mean by tacky and I hate that too, but this isn't a problem with this one once it's dried.

Good luck in your search for the right one.  I know what it's like.

Yeah, no kidding, right?  I'm hoping not.  I think that I read that the issue is only focused on Exynos CPUs right now, but who knows?

Good point.  You win some and you lose some.

For example, some people's CPU suck and won't  even overclock to an average overclock. ?   Unfortunately a fire extinguisher won't help with that.  Nothing will.   Haha.

I don't want to swap my Note 7 as it's been perfect, but I probably will.

as much as I've heard they say it only happens if you use some 3rd party charger... I wouldn't swap it even if it could catch on fire.. you would still get a replacement anyways..

That's a great point.  AT&T's policy is the Note 7 can be replaced even if it's damaged.

One could hold on to their current phone and do the swap if they ever smash the screen or cause any other type of damage.

I'm wondering if there's going to be a time period for replacements.

i was so annoyed.. like im so careful with my phone! it was just a complete fluke that it flew out of my pocket at work and landed on a hard tiled floor. nothing is majorly damaged.. im just more miffed about how easily the screen was to scratch..

hoping this recall process is nice and easy.

I rang the UK samsung support number as advised and there was a recorded message that just said "if you are ringing about replacing a note 7 please send us a support ticket at blah blah blah" so ive done that.. all i had to provide so far was the S/N and purchase date.

Just now waiting for a response.

I'm in no hurry at all to get the replacement.  I might wait as long as possible.  My Note 7 is just working too perfectly so I might as well enjoy it a bit longer until I have to set it up again.

One positive note (xD) is that the 256GB MicroSD provided by Samsung for free will make the transfer super easy.
