So, I just recently finished building my desktop and it keeps making a noise like something hitting something really fast, I thought it was one of the fans and I checked it wasn't, but I narrowed it down to my Graphics Card.

Any Ideas as to why this might happened?

Thank you for your time.

What GPU do you have? The GPU's cooler fan might be hitting the shroud...

Looking at my signature are we now? Well too bad there's nothing here...

As @ShadowTechXTS has said, if there's no wires or anything obstructing the fans then it's very likely for the fans to just be hitting the shroud which is uncommon but not unheard of :P

It could also possibly be coil whine if it only happens under load.

No, its just idling.

Then make sure no wires are hitting any fans at all (GPU, PSU, CPU, or case fans) if there isn't then watch the graphics card's fans and see if they are hitting the shroud, if they are, RMA it.

Will it cause long term damage if it stays for too long?
