Hello all, been watching LTT videos on YouTube for a while now, but this is my first post on the forums!

I'm planning on doing a few upgrades on my rig towards the end of this year and one of the "biggest" is my case. I currently have a tiny, terrible Rosewill case, it has served me well for two years since I first built my PC, but it is just not cutting it anymore. I'm looking for a "sleek" black full tower case that will be relatively quiet and has a nice window to show off my components. Now I know that having a window will obviously reduce the sound dampening, but I'm not looking for absolute silence, I'm just looking for something that will try to reduce noise, keep dust out and show off my components (and LEDs that I plan on getting).

Now I've narrowed my selection down to a few cases:

NZXT: Switch 810, Phantom 630 Windowed, and Phantom 530.

Thermaltake: Urban S71

Corsair: 750D

Silverstone: RV04

I'm trying to stay between 150-180 dollars. I will have a top mounted radiator (either Corsair H100i or the NZXT Kraken) and LEDs in the case. Depending on how it will look I'm debating between the NZXT Hue light kit or going with the Corasir Link + lighting (lighting needs are RGB lights w/ at the very least a breathing option in addition to static light colors). Basically if the controller would look terrible (as I imagine it would on the 750D for example) I'll go with the link set-up.

So basically I'm just looking for people's ideas and personal opinions on these cases and if there are any others out there that would meet my criteria go ahead and point me to them. I do like the windowed Define R4, I'm just not sure how much space I'm losing between that and one of these full tower options. Also if you have any other sort of lighting suggestions feel free to throw them out there.

Thanks in advance and I look forward to hearing your thoughts/opinions.

why not define r4 with a window? That's the case I'm using and it's pretty damn quiet.

As said above ^
Fractal design R4 is a good quiet case. The Pantom cases are not quiet, at least not with stock fans.

If you come on this forum  searching a quiet windowed case, you will most likely get to read "DEFINE R4!". To fulfill my prophecy:

I'm just concerned about size, R4 is plenty roomy?

The define R4 has plenty room. It is in fact bigger than i expected. (that's what she said) But you might have to mount that H100i slightly offset, because the R4 isn't optimized for Radiators in the top. You'll also be limited to slim rads like the H100i is. Other than that: plenty room.

who cares...

Plenty.

Thanks for the info guys! The only thing that is preventing me going full on for the R4 is the SSD mounting requiring the mobo to be removed. I'm strongly considering the ARC XL and buying some sound dampening foam to attach to the case if need be. I'm also waiting for some Source 530 reviews because that case looks interesting, but I've determined that getting some high quality fans *cough* Noctua *cough* and if need be buying some foam should suffice.

Thanks again!

Just mount the ssd on the back of the mobo tray.
