Did you already tried the link that i've given earlier? Try that instead. I have no further ways on solving your problem because i dont have any experience playing WoW. Hope the link will help.

I saw a thread and what he does is as follows:

"turning down the viewer slider to 7 environment detail to 9 and ground clutter to 7. disabling the projected Textures." Helped him raise his fps.

Or try Nvidia Experience. Open nvidia experience. On the games tab. Select WoW and click optimize. Then try it.

Do you have a MSI Afterburner or alike? Check if the temp limit is limiting your performance, or the power limit.

I would try another GPU and (failing that, try CPU) then. When I play WoW I get 75 frames and neither CPU nor GPU go above 50% since no more work needs to be done due to hard-capping at 75hz.

Just asking. What revision of 990FXA-UD3 you have?

If you have rev. 1.0 - 3.0, you might probably have one problem I have been keeping my eye on. At least AsRock 990FX Extreme3 can have a huge problem with FX-8350 because it's VRMs get too hot and can't deliver enough power. This happened to my friend with who I traded CPUs in the end to solve the problem (because I had FX-6200 which worked perfectly with my friends MOBO and I have AsRock 990FX Professional which VRMs seem to be enough for the FX-8350). He had some minor problems since he build his rig, but nothing really alarming (no reason FPS drops, some minor audio problems etc), but after a year or two the problems grew and he started to have BSODs, audio totally Fing up, SSDs going haywire (forgetting their file systems, probably going out of sync or something and messing up their section headers), not being able to use CPU at 100% sometimes even maxing at 50% and other very weird stuff. If this is the case the FX-6300 should work, but to check you can try to run some benchmark (I use AIDA64) and monitor VRM temps.

If you have rev. 4.0 or 4.1, your problem is elsewhere.

Ok, then that probably isn't the problem. But if you want to be sure, you should run some benchmarking and watch those VRM temps. But what I know you should be quite safe from that since your MOBO can support FX-9370s and FX-9590s and I suspect that the problem is that FX-8350 draws a lot more power than 125W probably easily over 150W and that causes VRMs to get way too hot.

yea after my i5 and motherboard died, i dint have enough money to spend on a 6th gen platform and dint want to go back to an i5 (pic related with what happened with the i5 when i gamed heavy stuff like GTA V or BF4) so i went for a decent amd build since it was way cheaper than getting an i5 again
