So with all of EA servers offline from what appears to be a DDoS attack, what is everyone doing to pass the time with no BF4, BF1, Madden, Titanfall, etc....

LOL? If I wasn't at work, I'd have a shit ton of other things to play. The only reason I use origin now is for Dragon age inquisition. Do people even play Madden or titan fall on pc?

ha, good question. I played DA:INQ on my PS4 and only reason I have Titanfall is Origin Access for 5/month. Was just throwing some of the more well known games out as reference. I find it quite funny though. Was hoping to maybe get an hr or so in before I went golfing.

Dragon Age Inquisition is my favorite game of all time... The destruction of haven mission man.... That singing ripped my heart out.

I also play battefront when I only have like 20 min I need to jerk around for.

You're in for a real treat with the game. It is extremely well laid out and has a solid story line IMO.

WHAT?!?!?!?

FUCK!!!! Sorry, though it's a 2 year old game....

Make sure you play through Tresspasser DLC though. It is 100% required for the main story. The Decent is really amazing if you are a fan of the series (probably less so if you are not. I would wait until you at least finish the main sequence to try it if you didn't play DA 2), and Jaw's of Hakkon is an interesting if not particularly mindblowing (also wait till after the main sequence).

Oh, and activate the new ability trial thing right away. Makes combat much more immersive after a while.

Final tip... Don't spend too much time in the Hinderlands right away. Get out of there as soon as possible, and come back later.

DA origins is still one of my all time favorites. Had so many enjoyable hours of game play through it while I was in Iraq.

I'm one of those guys who doesn't care about story. A good story is secondary and just a bonus for me. Solid game mechanics are my priority and the game seems to have really good mechanics so far, and I'm not even a big fan of rpgs. I need to play more of this genre. Witcher 3 looks terrible to me though.

Honestly, DA:INQ reminds me alot of the very old Baulders Gate and Icewind Dale D&D games where you need to strategically plan out moves and line up combos etc and use class synergy to maximize everything.

I enjoyed both of them, but Witcher 3 had a really boring combat system. The rest of the game was pretty solid though even if it felt like I was forced to basically play as someone else.

Or (prior to patch 6 or something), just play as an arcane warrior and solo everything. But outside of that majorly OP class, it is very cool.

Also it's kinda nice that arcane warrior was so OP that way I could play nightmare with a rouge and if I absolutely had to I could bring Madame de Fer in.

@ivan134 On nightmare mode prior to the trials update the games difficulty probably peaked just after the midpoint of the game, and depending if you were super anal about finishing everything or if you just wanted to go as quick as possible rapidly became less and less challenging (until becoming hard again in some of the DLC parts).

I would say hard is a very comfortable yet challenging mode for the majority of the game and if things start moving too slowly bump up to nightmare and activate the min level trial.

In fact nightmare at one particular mission @legacy99 is quite familiar with is almost absurdly difficult at the designed level.
