I have a friend coming from the US. I've read SSL's guide for recommended gears. I have chosen VSONIC VSD3S, Shure SE215-K, and Zero Audio Carbo Tenore. These are In-Ear Monitors. I have used a m50 before and i cant use it for more than 30 minutes because of comfort. I want to "upgrade". I also checked on Beyerdynamic DT770 Pro, Beyerdynamic DT990 Pro, Beyerdynamic DT880 Pro, and Sennheiser HD558/598.

Comfort is the #1 issue for me. Ill consider those open backed headphones because from what ive read, those are comfortable. DT770 is closed i think and DT880.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

Thank you!

Comfort is pretty high up for me too, but it varies from people to people. What do you find uncomfortable (weight, lacks of padding, heat, etc)? Most will say dt770 is comfortable due to the pillow-like padding, but I hated it and find velour pads in general make me itchy. I also stay away from iem since I don't like having things in my ear and it gets hot after a while; even with ciem I can't wear mine for more than an hour. Also, what's the budget? Under $200, I personally found mdr-1a and vmoda stuff super comfy.

DT770 is really comfortable if you want closed. It should be just as comfortable as any of the other DT line. Also, the DT880 is something called semi open, which is kinda BS, because it really might as well be open for all the sound isolation it gives you.

The Carbo Tenore was my suggestion for that list, glad you looked at it! (If you want to know something about them, I've still got my original pair, and they're working, even though they got left out in the sun and rain for about two months on accident. That's what I call build quality!)

Hey! New SIgnature!

I'm supposedly a person on the Internet, but you'll never know if I'm human or not ;)

The heat it makes on my ears is so uncomfortable. I dont have an airconditioned room but i dont think it should be that hot and uncomfortable. Didnt know iems can make you that uncomfortable. my budget is around $150, but if something is really worth it. i can do upto $200. I just want something that is comfortable and at the same time makes me "Wow". :D

I dont mind if its open or closed. because if its a headphone. ill be only using it at home. I dont like going out with headphones. IEMs maybe.

have you tried  VSONIC VSD3S? Carbo Tenore is really better in terms of sound quality?
