The Athlon 860K is a quad core and should be much better than the Pentium. Can you get an i3 instead? That will have an upgrade path to an i5/i7 when you upgrade.

Strongly agree with @rn8686 if you get an i3 you can upgrade in the future using the same Motherboard, a mistake I've made and slightly regretted.

CPU: Intel i5 4670K 4.0GHz // Motherboard: MSI Gaming 3 Motherboard // RAM: 8GB Kingstone 1833MHz  // GPU: Saphire R9 390 Nitro // HDD: 500GB Toshiba // SSD: 120GB Sandisk // PSU: 550w

Games: F1 2016, GTA 5, TrackMania Stadium, Assetto Corsa, Project Cars, COD Black ops 1.

Huge fan of Formula 1.

Well you will be able to upgrade on the LGA 1151 socket, which you can get the i5 6600k and i7 6700k.

However technology moves so fast these days! And AMD release their new line of CPU's in Q1 of 2017 (I think i've seen) Along with Intel released a new line of Cpu's (I imagine every 2 or so years)

CPU: Intel i5 4670K 4.0GHz // Motherboard: MSI Gaming 3 Motherboard // RAM: 8GB Kingstone 1833MHz  // GPU: Saphire R9 390 Nitro // HDD: 500GB Toshiba // SSD: 120GB Sandisk // PSU: 550w
