get 2 used xeons on ebay

watch linus's video "150 dollars 8 cores"

and find a cheap used dell double socket mobo and try to cop up some ram. If u have an extra psu, take that money get 64 gigs of ram and 2tb of storage

old rackmount servers use massive amounts of power and make a massive amount of noise. You are better off building one.

While true, a dell r210 II, which is old, would still be a better deal than a new server.

There is a very good deal for a server. Don't think you need lots of cores and memory to host Garrysmod servers. Memory usage for source engine servers is minuscule. The main thing that's important with source engine games is power per core, which this server has more of than an r610.
