I would assume it's the voltage of your CMOS battery? It should be 3v iirc. Try replacing the battery.

That's fine, and yeah asand1 is right, it is the voltage of the cmos battery (dunno how I missed that). He's right that it should be 2.8-3v. Replace the battery

Oh what... I just built my first pc what is the cmos battery and what's wrong with it? Why do I have to replace it?

It's a battery that feeds the memory storing your settings. If it dies out, each time you turn your computer off all settings will revert to factory values.

If the software is reporting it correctly, a low voltage will indicate the battery is depleted, and you will need to replace it to avid CMOS resetting all the time. It seems strange that it would drop so much without you experiencing any issue in the sense of losing your settings. Being a new motherboard, I wouldn't discard a misreading by software. Can you confirm this voltage by any other means? Is it reported in your BIOS?

I don't know why the voltage is so low,but I'm having no problems with my bios not saving my settings. Ive checked in my bios and i can't find anything related to VBAT. I read somewhere that problems start occurring when the vbat is lower than 2.6v, but I've had no problems at all. Maybe Hwmonitor is wrong. And this is a brand new motherboard that I bought a week ago.
