Also, no SSD?

Ah, it didn't say in the parts list so I thought I should ask. I would just get the Asus 1070 Turbo (Still a blower, just 40 dollars cheaper) and get a Fractal Design Core 500. (You will be able to return the case, I've dealt with Microcenter returns before. They're freaking amazing)

i like the cooler master case though

& isn't the fractal one bigger?

It is, but I'm not sure the Elite 130 can take an H80i. I know the Core 500 can. Do you need for this to be a certain size?

The liquid cooler isn't a great idea, you'd be better off with a noctua nh-d14 for that price. Spend the money for an ssd.

Don't ask to ask, just ask... please 🤨

I got the core 500 from fractal design.

Here are pics of the relative scale of the case compared to my 15,4 inches old laptop, and my steelseries keyboard.

Case goes in my suitcase, and in my sports bag. Hope it helps.20160826_203943.jpg

20160826_203953.jpg20160826_204046.jpg

As you can see it has the base of a 15,4 inches laptop and the height you can compare to 1,5 times a keyboard.

If you put the keyboard in its original box, it should be close,  without the box it fits easily. In my bag I'd have room for the mice and headset as well.

Just a heads up, building in tight spaces like that can really be challenging to assemble ;)

By the way I've got the same mobo/cpu combo, works like a charm.

Be careful with gpu clearance as well

i was told that by the guy who made the build for me

the gpu fits though (i made sure)

was going to get noctua nh-d14 but won't fit in elite 130 with it's 3 inches of clearance (power supply above mobo )

i am buying parts as i get the money so i won't be rushing

next week is the motherboard

would there be a noticable disadvantage getting

this motherboard

or

this one

instead of the z170i

What is your screen? For 1080p I suggest you getting 1060 and upgrade cpu to i7 6700K.

i am ultrawide 1080p (2560x1080)

and also vr

that's why i chose the 1070 6600k over 1060 6700k

then I would suggest 1070 build, because gtx 1060 is little weak for 21:9 resolution, and vr.
