Screen getting disconnected from graphics card

Built a PC about a month ago now. I have been having a great time with it, with one issue. The display will get disconnected from the graphics card for less than one second and then come back on. This happens sporadically. The graphics card is not overclocked besides factory overclocks. It is a GTX 1070 FTW. This did not happen with my old gtx 970 with the same display. Any ideas about how I can address this issue? Thank you for your time.

I mean did you make sure the cables were firmly plugged in?

 

also try a different cable and different ports.

check for any loose cables
