Will this RAM config cause a problem?

I have a dead RAM slot on my X99 Deluxe. Slot A1 is dead. I have 4 8GB modules. I have all 4 in the slots to the right of the CPU. The system runs fine that way. Will my RAM still run in quad channel? Will this cause problems? Should I RMA the board? Thank you in advance.

dont think that i will run in quad chanel but look in your motherboards manual, should be stuff about RAM configs there :) 

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...
