Hello all,

I am looking into my first mechanical keyboard. I have try'd a lot of them, and I love the blue switches the most (even though I will use them more for gaming, I like the feel of them).

For my keyboard I dont need to have the real MX switches, because I am on a really tight budget. I have seen some nice ones on amazon, but shipping to the Netherlands is around 20 dollars, for 40 dollar keyboards.

My question is if you guys have good suggestions for a mechanical keyboard with blue switches. Preferably matching my red/black build.

Thanks in advance!

My current rig:

CPU :Intel I7 4790K , MOBO: Asus Maximus Hero VII , STORAGE: Plextor m6e 256Gb + WD Black 3Tb, GPU(s): 1x ASUS STRIX GTX 1060, PSU: Corsair RM1000 , CASE: Fractal Design S.

Ajazz AK33 is a great cheap keyboard, or the magic force one. My best advice would be to hang around the keyboard enthusiast section of mass drop until you find something you fancy. That's how I got mine.

Ok thanks for the tip. Which one did you get :D?

It took me about 15 minutes of browsing and I struggled to find anything "cheap". Like many I had your dilemma when looking for my first mechanical keyboard. For reference I chose a Razer Tournament Edition.

I found the Corsair K70 Vengeance which I've seen many times in shops and plenty of reviews.
I feel it suits your needs because of the switches and colour scheme. Otherwise I compromised on price but mainly because I found it difficult to find anything cheap, and I feel it's an invested worth making rather than doing what I did. Before my Razer Tournament Edition I had a Zalman KM-500 which broke within months as per half of the reviews I read after purchase.

Anyway, good luck!

Thanks for the suggestion.

I understand the point of investing in a good keyboard, but $100,- + shipping is too expensive for me for at least a couple of months.

This paired with my current membrane keyboard which is falling apart, I was thinking of buying a not to expensive keyboard for the time being.

Maybe look at Coolermasters keyboards with mem-chanical switches in the meantime? Save all your money for the Cherry MX Blue of your dreams and get another keyboard that'll last until then? I dunno. Just spitting idea.

Also, maybe hold out for this keyboard too? It's black and red, and mechnical. HyperX is a great brand. It's not out yet, but just saw the article and thought you might appreciate it.

That one looks nice too. For info, I dont need to have red backlighting. As long as the keyboard is black, and no other colour backlighting is present (only white is ok).

Thanks for another suggestion ^^
