how to decide what is good pair to get that is beter then iPhone headphone

and to get wireless or not

Well that's mostly based on personal choice. If your someone who loves bass, then you would look for reviews that mention clean, direct bass. If you prefer a flat sound curve then you look for reviews that make mention of that. How much do you want to spend?

I generally don't like wireless because it degrades sound quality. Its up to you though.

there is no such thing as basic sound, all headphones sound different, some focus on treble, some on bass, some on mids, some with a mix, some try to be as neutral as posible (I have found out that a lot of people think neutral headphones can be abit boring, but depends on your taste)

Before you buy amp and dac.  My thoughts on the M50x  Ultimate Ears Reference monitor review I might have a thing for audio...

My main Headphones and IEMs:  K612 pro, HD 25 and Ultimate Ears Reference Monitor, HD 580 with HD 600 grills

DAC and AMP: RME ADI 2 DAC

Speakers: Genelec 8040, System Audio SA205

Receiver: Denon AVR-1612

Desktop: R7 1700, GTX 1080  RX 580 8GB and other stuff

Laptop: ThinkPad P50: i7 6820HQ, M2000M. ThinkPad T420s: i7 2640M, NVS 4200M

1. That before price is 100% fake

2. I am willing to bet that most of the amazon reviews are fake

3. bluetooth, so the audio quality just goes down and down and down

4. why get something like that when there is a whole list of headphones that are good for the money, that you can just pick from

The Audio Board Recommend Gear. SSL shared it with you. Earbuds by design are portable, so that's no issue thankfully. So you want something that won't break on you, correct?

Apple earbuds are not built very well. If you want something that doesn't break, get the JLab Bass (Yes, that's their name) Or, if you would rather have something cheap, there are always those 7-9 USD Panasonic units

CX 200's are decent. Brand shouldn't be the big factor in your choice though.

A well known brand can always make a crappy product, but a small brand may make something better. I don't want you to buy something worse for the sake of a brand name

No. You tell by reading reviews on forums and from audio sites. Tech sites have some of the most garbage attempts at audio reviews that I've ever seen. Avoid them like the plague.

if you want something cheap, that has high sound quality for the price, go to aliexpress and find the VE monk, those are so god damn cheap and good for the price that you can just buy 5 of them.

2nd the VE Monk, been hearing so many good things about it in the local audio sub-forums here in my neck of the woods. Another cheap, but not necessary lousy quality, is KZ Acoustice ZS3 at 18USD, with detachable cables to boot!

TFZ Series 1 is more expensive, but NOT expensive per se, and comes with different fancy shells, heard it has very nice bass for bass aficionados.....you can also check out the Series 3 and more balanced Series 5.
