random right clicks.

Just turned on my pc, playing a game and noticed that my gun would randomly start aiming (right click) even thought I didn't press it

got off my game and when i put my mouse on the desktop and left it, it would right click. It is very annoying and don't know how to fix it, I doubt my mouse is stuck.

Thanks for your response. Does your mouse always right click, even if you don't left click for a while? (Keep your mouse on desktop, wait for right click, then slightly move the cursor somewhere else and wait and see if it right clicks again)

yeah, even if I don't touch it, it would right click. It started today for the very first time.

it happens more like once 20 or 30 seconds, even if i don't left click.

Since it just started happening today. Try turning off your PC. A full shut down, and once it's rebooted and you are back on your desktop, unplug your USB mouse and try a different USB port.

earlier I restarted my PC and it didn't do the right click thing for the first hour, afterwards it started doing it again.

Still, try unplugging your mouse from it's current USB port and try another one.

I did, still does it.

I think it's strange that it worked fine after rebooting your computer but started back up after 1 hour. I would try rebooting again but take note of what you do when it starts happening again. (Launching a specific program, load a particular website)

 

If you have the time, reboot your computer and just let it sit there and wait to see if it happens without any other user interference.

It did happen as soon as I opened Discord but i doubt that's the problem because I closed it and it still kept doing it.

Check if you have any updates to your mouse drivers, or to discord. Once updated, reboot and see if it is fixed. If it keeps acting up, reboot and don't use discord for a while and see if your mouse works fine.

 

If it only happens after launching discord, uninstall it and reinstall it, in case of a corrupt file.

Assuming you dont live alone i would also check and make sure theres not a micro usb dongle in one of the usb ports.  Wouldnt be the first time someone has fallen for that prank...

there isn't. No one in my house is smart enough for that.
