How can i open the Console on a cisco sge 200

Hey Guys,

 

How can i open the console on a cisco sge 2000 with putty.

Than i try it with the speed 115200 it does not funktion.

The Internet has no answer for that.

What're the rest of the settings you're using?

Most Cisco devices use 9600 as their baud rate but everything else looks fine.

 

Also you might also want to check that you have the right serial line by going to the Device Manager and looking in the "Ports (COM & LPT)" section to check that you are using the correct COM interface.

9600 8/N/1 is the settings you need.

Should be 9600 for speed. Also make sure that you're actually using COM1.

As far as I'm aware 115200 is actually required for this hardware - it's a bit of an odd one.

Yes, I have an SG300 and it uses that much higher bit rate. The reason is it draws a 'GUI' in text lol, plus also has proper command line.
