Sub Zero liquid cooling - Etanol as coolant

Hi, made this post cause I got this mad idea.
Wondering about if there is any other coolants that can go as low as -50C or lower before it freeze.
I figured that ethanol can go as low as -114C. Is there any other liquids that can go as low as -50C?
My idea was to connect my phase change to the loop through a cpu waterblock to cool the liquid.
**edit** The phase change will go as low as -48C

Any thoughts or ideas?
Just a mad idea from a pc enthusiast...

Also fully aware over that ethanol is higly flammable :P

Why add an extra layer of cooling and fluids when you can directly have the phase change block right on the CPU die for direct contact?

Cause wanna cool the whole pc as low as possible. Otherways if I can't get this to work.. Then I will continue with phase change on just CPU, and watercool the rest ;)

im not sure the cpu water block will be enough but give it a try with etanol

these are just two interesting articles. Not sure, but I don't think alcohols and stuff like that are really good at transferring heat, as well as the acrylic they would break since they wear away at that stuff.

Possible true, might have to find a workarround on that. If I will be ending up trying this mad idea :P (Probably will.. one time)

Two phase change blocks xD

One for GPU and one for CPU!

I guess you can give it a go with a sub ambient loop , it just won't be as efficient as having the phase change block right on the dies. Just be sure to insulate all blocks and pipes as they will most likely condensate and build frost at those temps. Also make sure you loop has no acrylic in it as ethanol affects it quite readily, if your not going super cold you can use a heavy ethylene glycol  (antifreeze mix).

Overclocking was done on watercooling AIO. Waiting for dielectric grease before I start overclocking with this badass phase changer :P

Well good luck with it! That case looks great in black, I've only seen Linus's white one ;) you'll be pushed quite a bit over 5 and I hope to see the results on here soon

Will try to push it far above 5, eventualy. Also planing on doing some light modding on the case. Pics are to come once I can continue on this project, hopefully done before new year :)
