hi,

so I have an i7 4790k with GTX980 and 16g DDR on an Asus Maximus Hero VII and win10 64bit.

Recently I encountered some bios problems(i was trying to be a smart-ass) so I had to reset the bios and since then I have a kinda laggy PC, but my big problem is that now Sony Vegas Pro 13 won't render at 1440p because the CPU goes instantly at 100%, if I render at 1080 60fps it barely works. Previously I didn't have this problem.

thank you

sorry, I forgot to tell that I am not by no means an expert.

Sadly don't know what OCED means - but it definitely worked better before, Sony is my biggest concern now

Allocate more RAM to it the default is pretty low so change it to 6gb or 8gb

but i have 16?it doesn't use it all?how do i do that

thank you

I don't know how in 13 but I know in 11 hopefully someone comes to this thread to check. My Sony Vegas 11 uses 3 by default and that was quite the lagfest. Change it to 6gb and then see if it works from there .

OCd means overclocked, its not OCED, its OCd anyway im not sure what the problem is but try reseting BIOS or updating it, might help you

I spent $2500 on building my PC and all i do with it is play no games atm & watch anime at 1080p(finally) watch YT and write essays...  nothing, it just sits there collecting dust...

Builds:

The Toaster Project! Northern Bee!

The original LAN PC build log! (Old, dead and replaced by The Toaster Project & 5.0)
