PCPartPicker part list

CPU: Intel Core i5-6500 3.2GHz Quad-Core Processor  ($204.99 @ Newegg)
CPU Cooler: CRYORIG C7 40.5 CFM CPU Cooler  ($29.99 @ Newegg)
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-H110N Mini ITX LGA1151 Motherboard  ($77.98 @ Newegg)
Memory: Corsair Vengeance LPX 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR4-2400 Memory  ($69.99 @ Newegg)
Storage: Sandisk SSD PLUS 480GB 2.5" Solid State Drive  ($111.29 @ Amazon)
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
Video Card: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1060 6GB WINDFORCE OC 6G Video Card  ($274.98 @ Newegg)

^This is cheaper, comes with good clocks, and shorter compared to the asus so you won't have to deal with any clearance issues with a compact case.
Power Supply: Corsair SF 450W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular SFX Power Supply  ($89.99 @ Newegg)

^Tier 1 PSU. It's only 450W but your i5/1060 setup won't consume over 300W.
Total: $859.21

If you pick the Phanteks EVOLV ITX case then you can go with standard ATX PSU's that are cheaper.

Hey all,

What do you guys think of this compact pc build I'm planning. I'm looking at ways I could potentially save a few bucks. I want to keep the 1060 and remain with Intel but other than that I'm open to suggestions. I know there isn't a case included btw.

Thanks

1. Cheaper RAM

2. Cheaper CPU cooler (I guess but there might not be anything better actually as you're planning to OC and many tower coolers won't fit...)

3. Cheaper GPU (like a cheaper 6GB 1060?)

4. Possibly cheaper Motherboard?

Looking at my signature are we now? Well too bad there's nothing here...

Get a cheaper kit of ram; the price on that corsair kit is atrocious.

Go with a cheaper mobo, you won't be able to oc with an i5 6400.

No need for a corsair liquid cooler, use the stock cooler since you won't be able to OC.

Maybe a cheap gtx 1060 if they're in stock.

You can get a cheaper silverstone 450w SFX strider gold psu instead, the gtx 1060 doesn't need that much power.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X Heatsink: Gelid Phantom Black GPU: Palit RTX 3060 Ti Dual RAM: Corsair DDR4 2x8GB 3000Mhz mobo: Asus X570-P case: Fractal Design Define C PSU: Superflower Leadex Gold 650W
