So what's the best PC i can get for $1700? and Monitor for $500 ? (Could go a little bit more)

Currency : USD

Goal : Gaming and Productivity

No need for keyboard/mouse etc...

I'm a educated fool with money on my mind.

They say i got to learn but nobody here to teach me,if they can't understand it how can they reach me

Power and the money, money and the power, minute after minute, hour after hour

Coming from an OP who just expects us to do all the looking for them.

Now that's lazy. Compiling parts from a raw budget can take days, and you can't expect us to do that for you.

Seriously.

I won't know you're talking to me unless you reply/quote me.

I saw people on the forums make a build in like 5 minutes for the budget they were given, and for you it takes days?

Why even comment if your not gonna help?

I'm not good with building PC's in terms of parts, and i would like someone with a little more knowledge

Days? It would take me a solid 20 minutes. And it would be a great build. We've literally given people parts list thousands of times.

Form factor? Color? Any specific case you like/want so I can go off of something? It's late at night but this will help other people, I won't be making a list.

You could just be a more responsible PC owner and just, y'know, do the research and acquire the knowledge on your own. Just because you have money doesn't mean you can't stand to do your own research. You people are hopeless.

Here I got a build under $1700 including monitor, and seperated one which is $2100.

$1700: http://pcpartpicker.com/list/nnc2VY

$2100: http://pcpartpicker.com/list/MsqcTH

But I want you to know that, you should be acknowledge if the parts are compatible. When I first build a pc, everything was compatible based on the specifications text of every component, but there were incompatible things, which is really annoying. So, I hope you don't fully trust the build that isn't actually built in real life.

I changed the one above slightly, added a 6800k Vs. the 5820K, got a hyper 212 instead of the Cryorig H5, and a cheaper 1080.

The deal on the RAM looks very nice to me btw, and there is also a combo discount on the 6800k+Z99A (-$20)

The H5 is better, The 212 Evo is an overrated bandwagon product.

I don't doubt the H5 is better, its still double the price of the H212, OP can choose what they want, the H212 is a decent cooler, it has a descent mounting system, that's easy to use, overall, excellent considering the price. Yes there are better options out there, but still.

The mounting system is trash lol.

If you want to talk about price, the Cryorig M9i is $20 and is better.

If it is your experience that the M9i is indeed better, then the OP should consider that as well, I modified the parts list as to include a more expensive processor, so I offset that accordingly, I haven't used the M9i, I have used the H212 which is in my experience descent for the price.

I just noticed you have a 212, perhaps you could share why you believe it is not as good for the price?

Because i got mine for $15, not the full price.

There simply are coolers for the similar, or cheaper prices that offer better temps and are quieter.

I try to avoid MSI unless I know for sure they are using a decent VRM on the motherboard.  They have used some less than desirable power delivery on some boards.

I think that board is a 4+2 phase.  The 4 is doubled or something.  They would advertise it as a 10 phase board.  4 doubled to 8, then 2.

The monitor is a TN panel.  It might look great, but the ASUS and ACER 1440p, 144HZ, 27". IPS displays are under $600.

The RAM might have issues achieving the advertised speed, in which case you would have to manually tinker with speeds.

All-in-all, that is a decent build, but is missing a cooler.  The H5 from Cryorig is under $50 and does an adequate job.  You will also want two 140mm fans for the front of the case as intakes...CORRECTION... only one more 140mm for the front.

No GSync.  GSync is $800.  High frame rates are better than GSync.

I would rather have a GTX 1080 with an IPS, 1440p, 144Hz panel, than a GTX 1070 with a GSync monitor.  I would probably not go TN panel for GSync.  It is up to you though.

...and TN.  It might be great.  I have not seen it in person so it could be a really good TN panel.  IPS offers better viewing angles and apparently better colour reproduction as well.
