Maybe it's enough on a steady load but fully maxed out or during bootup when it can draw additional power you could very well hit a limit. Plus you have degradation of the power supply over time and giving yourself additional headroom allows it to keep going longer and prevents you from having to upgrade if you decide to expand in the future. An extra 100W power supply is going to add maybe $10 to the cost and will remove possible headaches in the future.

bloody hell people, 400W is more than enough.. Though I wouldn't go for a Cheap corsair psu... Not great.. I'd go EVGA b2 first.

That PSU is fine, it's one of the new CXM PSUs which won't half the amount of wattage it can output once the ambient temp inside the case goes over 40c :D

It will 100% shut down suddenly, if you overclock your gpu and cpu

That's just over-exaggerating...a 1070 draws OCed maybe 200watts while a 6700 will only draw like 100watts max as it's not overclockable :P

Looking at my signature are we now? Well too bad there's nothing here...

Try to calculate here.

http://outervision.com/power-supply-calculator

It will be under 400, if not overclocked, but it would be over 450 watts if overclocked, and includes other systems.(storage, fans, ram, maybe using usb devices)

Take it as you didn't know PSU calculators always over estimate how much power is required...yes having too much wattage is never bad but still, when it's fine, it's fine :)

They are horribly inaccurate.. don't trust them.

When budgets are very tight, you cut where you can.. PSU as long as it supplies enough power (which it does) adds nothing to your system beyond that basic functionality. is a bit more overhead nice to have, yes but not over higher quality or better features (in silent mode,, better surge protection etc)

Also,, unless stress testing the whole system, you'll never get power consumption as high as seen in the tests.

8 gb of ram is fine, however you can get issues if you try to play games whilst loading youtube videos for example. if you plan on upgrading later its fine, just something to keep in mind.

I will upgrade later

I dont care if its more work than or not. If it takes 5 min to change psu or 30 min, i will do it

I'm talking budget wise, if you buy it now, you dont need to buy it when you are upgrading so you have more $$ for the part you are planning to upgrade
