I am stuck in a boot loop after I updated my Laptop with the most recent Windows 10 update.

After searching online for a couple hours I don't seem to find any solution other than a fresh Windows installation, but I do not want to lose all my files, obviously. Unfortunately, I also do not have made any backup I could revert my Laptop to.

Is there any way to undo the last Windows update?

I still am able to boot into recovery by pressing Alt + F10; else I'm stuck on the Acer screen with loading dots and a black screen alternating.

Laptop: Acer Aspire VN7-591G, Haswell i7, 16 GB RAM, GeForce GTX 960M

Try booting into safe mode to recover files etc. and then going for a clean install. When you see a post screen hit F8 repeatedly.

Have you tried turning it off and on again?

F8 doesn't do anything and I can't boot into safe mode (it just fails). I tried to use an Ubuntu boot stick but this doesn't work either.

The only thing I can suggest is take the HDD out, connect it to a pc, making sure the boot order is ok, copy your folders across and then put the drive back and then clean install and copy your files back across.
