Hello forum i have a aasus strix mechanical keyboard and today i cleaned  it with an alchahol whipe. Since then the keyboard does not function in that the ctrl keys do not work. i have narrowes it down to the keyboard by testing another keyboard and the keyboard on a different pc and it didnt work however the other keyboard did. Therefor i think there is something wrong with the keyboard  caused by me cleaning it. I had an alchahol wipe and pressed hard on the keycaps to clean them. Is it possible that i damaged the keys? ANd how did i kill only both the control keys?

keep pressing the keycap, it might not be coming into contact with the circuit board.

should i hold done or just press it a lot. I tried holding firmly but that doesnt seem  to fix  but i do not under stand how both control keys can be disconnected from the circut board?

just press it a lot, it may be the contact point not registering so just press it a lot because there might be some residue left on the contact point

That doesnt seem to be working, i dont understand how the residue could go under both control keys though :/. But my mute, pause and skip keys aren't working is this a faulty keyboard?

should I try refund my keyboard? I don't think I have done anything wrong and the keyboard is just faulty. I purchasd it from a manufacturer caulled JW computers and two of my mates have had issues with their products before. It also looks like my f5 isn't working :(

So now you are trying to scam the shop after you fucked it? Nice attitude man

Excuse me sir? Scam the shop? If the product is faulty under no user error than it is the manufacutures fault, I was wrong blaming the shop though :/ I payed $100 Aud for this brand new and it is having problems. This shouldnt happen, I thought mechanical keyboard were meant to be incredibly high quality. I have a  gtx 770 that used to mine bitcoins, that i got for $50 USD that is still going like a boss and the keyboard is a year old and is failing.

The product was working properly before your cleaning. It didnt work afterwards, so it was obviously your fault. Would the keyboard continue to work properly without your cleaning? Pretty sure

I'm just going to deal with the keyboard :/ when i have more money u will buy some  CAZY RGB keyboard probably from logitech or razer. I really like logitechs products and i think they are really good however i really like the  razer tournament due to their 10 keyless design and relatively small size. Any recommendations on a smaall rgb mechanical keyboard maybe built really well so I don't fuck it up :D
