So I'm gonna start to build a computer on a budget and I'm thinking about getting another (used) 970 to run them in Sli. Now i have seen a lot of threads about this where I still feel that my questions weren't answered. So Is it worth it getting another 970 to run them in Sli?

As far as I can tell its usually a good solution to do SLI and CF if you want more performance but blew you whole budget on a single card last time.  It seems to just be frowned upon when you plan to do SLI or CF right off the bat just for the sake of doing it.  I talked a friend of mine out of 2 950s and into just getting a good 960 last year. I plan on getting another r9 390 when i have the extra cash.

But why. It will not benefit me at all. Finding used 1060 and 1070 is so hard in my country so I will have to get new, but finding a 970 for 110 Usd is no problem at all.

How much is a new 1070?

Well it's around 540 usd here.

That's... strange, to say the least. Either your 1070s are super overpriced, or people are REALLY dumb selling their old 970s for the price you claim.

Nah all pc parts, especially Gpu's are really overpriced. But people are still selling 970 for an average price of 110-120 usd. Problem is that most of the listings are auctions and people seem to love that card so the price can go up, but mostly it settles on the mentioned prices.

I was running 780 TI in SLI and it even handled Overwatch Beta 4k on epic presets. A little stutter was there but not much and it had a solid 70 FPS. Your system will borrow VRAM from your real RAM of you're running out but don't forget that ram is like 3 times slower. If you don't mind a little bit of stutter, nothing that will affect you much then get the second 970 by all means. It's still a good GPU.

Sli isn't really good... Sell your 970 as long it's still something worth, and get a GTX 1060.

You won't have the same "Raw performance" as with Sli, but at least you won't have a Vram-cripple ;)

2x GTX 970 will have a Vram bottleneck in most games, who need this amount of Power.

Plus the additional heat, power consumption, driver problems, bad scaling, microstuttering, etc etc.
