How do I remove my old GPU drivers?

I just received an R9 270 in the mail, and I need to get rid of my old nvidia drivers, how do I remove them?

Should I remove them before, or after I install my new GPU?

ddu. Use that, google is your friend.

That will take care of the old Nvidia driver quite happily, after it has done its job you can install the crimson drivers

After ddu has done its job you can safely install the new gpu. Usually it doesn't matter, but that's the safer option.
