Is it at all possible to wipe all of a hard drive without removing the operating system. I am building a gaming PC and to hold me over until I have all the parts I bought a laptop. I want to keep the OS on the HD but be able to install the new drivers for the parts I bought. I don't want to have to buy another OS that would be the same as the one I already have, or another HD if I already have a working one. I also do not want the Dell logo to appear when booting up the new PC. I am building it, not Dell.

Some OS versions future a factory reset (Windows 10 for example) which you could use. I also believe the Dell logo is a BIOS thing, not a Windows thing.

@Minibois I have already factory reset the HD because of viruses, but if the Dell logo is truly a BIOS thing than it would stop appearing if I installed new drivers, correct?

What I mean with the Dell logo is that I think it's the motherboard is displaying that logo. For example if you have an Asus motherboard, it might show Asus (like at 0:48 in this video:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fVzfjiq407g He built the PC, but it shows the Asus logo because the motherboard does that)
