i love my sennheiser hd 280 pro's but they don't have that much bass if that is what you're looking for. They don't look that nice with the coiled cable and very plain aesthetics but sound great and are comfortable. More of a studio monitoring type headphone. Otherwise everyone seems to love ath m50's

HD600's.

The only issue with them is that they are not in his budget.

Yet they're used. I have bought many used things, processors, graphics cards, etc. But I personally wouldn't want to wear someone else's headphones. Still, a damn good deal that is.

Then you didn't read the post all the way, you can find them on accessory jack brand new for $325.

The only thing after that is 598's or ad700x's.

You serious? They have superb soundstage making them great for games but they have practically 0 bass. Not what the OP is looking for i'm afraid.

if you really hate the color of the HD598's you might be able to find some HD595's, almost the same headphone but I've heard the 5x8 series is slightly improved.

Will work for electronic components and parts

what about the custom one pros by beyerdynamic

I could buy the white ones and add ear cup cover, black ear cushions and headband pad from amazon for a total of  around $275

the reason for doing this is because I want it to be custom and I didn't really like the look of the black or white in their stock configuration

is the cable removable and just a regular 3.5mm cable on these?

here's a picture using my amazing photo shop skills to change the colors of the ear cushions and headband pad as well as add an ear cup cover of my choice!
