Gunnar Optiks?

I have been getting a lot of headaches and eye strain from my new monitor and putting it in Blue Light mode makes it stop. So I was wondering if Gunnar Optiks are decent or should I get something else?

Just keeping this here as a I'd just lower the blue RGB value on your monitor or lower the brightness instead of buying some retarded gamer glasses.

Use dark themes everywhere you can too of course.

Why not just leave it in Blue Light mode or get something like Flux and alter the blue light levels that way.

They work for me. There's also https://www.noscopeglasses.com/ for a cheaper alternative. I think your blue light mode does the same thing. You'd get these if you wanted to use the other settings.

I bought a pair back when I was like 12 and it was the mlg thing to do. They work great for headaches and stuff, but if you care anything about the colours displayed on your screen then stay away cause that yellow tint is pretty bad.

Its not actually snake oil, they do work, its basically like a hardware version of flux, and the glasses (like my gunnars, steelseries scopes) have a slight positive diopter to enlarge the screen slightly and make it easier to focus

Genuinely they do help me, though flux can do the same to some degree and is free

I don't see why people can't just lower the brightness and/or amount of blue in the RGB color settings in their monitor's OSD.

That seems by far the simplest and most practical thing to do, and it's free, doesn't even require additional software or anything.

Lots of monitors these days have profiles you can switch between too, even the cheap ones.

 

Maybe I'm completely wrong, but I just don't see the big problem that requires glasses and programs or anything extra.

It should be completely solvable by your monitor's settings unless your monitor is pure garbage, which you should just get a better one.

Gunnar optics are nice, but they have brands that do the exact same thing with a significantly lower price tag. I have a friend who just used freaking expo markers on a pair of $5 reading glasses and that helped him. Dumb as hell solution, but he's happy with it and that's what matters.

Never mind it was an option turned on called OD. I don't know what it stand for but was creating horrible ghosting.
