Watercooling noise levels

Hi all,

I'm currently interested in EVGA's upcoming GTX 1080 Hydro, but then I remebered the reason why I still don't have a water cooler for my CPU, the noise.
Does anyone have any experiences with watercooled GPUs? Should I go for STRIX 1080 or watercooled Hydro. I have currently a GTX 970 STRIX and it's perfect for me due to it's 0db mode when not under load. I'm a bit of a silence freak myself. Also I'm thinking about upgrading my NH-D15 for a watercooler, but I don't know about the noise levels. Any tips would be welcome.

Noise? Maybe you had a bad experience but my Coolermaster Seidon AIO cooler is silent. The fan I have at about 30% load and the pump about 60%. in fact the only noise from my system is from the HDDs and when the fans from my strix 970 kick in.

Watercooling can be as quiet as air coolers it just depends on the fans and the pump.Also btw what case do you have.The watercooled gpu the quietest souloution would be a custom loop and then the MSI　ｏｎｅ　ｉｓ　ｐｒｅｔｔｙ　ｇｏｏｄ

I have currently SIlencio 550 but I was thinking about getting Anidees Crystal AI. I sit about 30cm away from my case, so when idling I wouldn't like to hear all that much noise. I'm not planning on building a custom loop though. For me it's currently ASUS STRIX 1080: 770e or EVGA Hydro 1080: 830e (MSI's watercooled GPU is close to 1000 euros, so it's too pricey imo) Also If I would to get a watercooler for my CPU, which one would you recommend? I'm looking for the quietest one, preferably with pretty good temps.

Noctua NH-D15,its a great cpu cooler and comes with pretty quiet fans or the Be quiet ones are good too,lastly perssonally i would just get the Asus gpu for look as I have never used a Evga GPU
