Hello, so I am currently looking for a new CPU to go along with my 750ti beacuse when I play overwatch my cpu is maxed while my gpu is not. I was wondering what would be the cheapest route to help the performance while gaming. I was looking into getting a fx8350 but wanted to post here before buying anything.

Ignore the computer in my sig! different builds

Thanks to everyone that replys!

To go from a 4790K to an FX-8350 would be a downgrade...

I wouldn't buy AMD atm.... But an i3... (Haswell of Skylake) it's gonna do a fine job....

I'd try to get an i5, but I assume since your on a 4350 you could just upgrade the chip rather than the board as well, however that may not actually improve performance in games that don't use more than 4 cores by much if at all

An i5 would be even better... Provided you can afford it...

Yeah I can but I kinda just hoped to do a cheap upgrade to cpu and just give it to one of my friends that only has a laptop that sucks right now

Yeah

Is your cpu maxed on low/medium settings? My recommendation here to collect more money and get i5/New ZEN cpu when it comes out. It's not worth to buy old socket CPU to max out your low to mid range card. What are you going to do when you get better GPU and when you see 8350 is bottlenecking your new GPU?

Since you are planning on doing a GPU upgrade, buying an 8350 would be unwise.... An i3 would be good, if you want to save some money...
