W3530 vs FX-8300

Hello guys i was wondering what would do better a Xeon w3530 or an FX-8300 and how much is the w3530 worth i keep seeing about $200-$300 USD is that true, cause i bought it for $15. and is it worth it to build a gaming rig with it?

The AMD is 95w vs 130w on the Nehalem CPU. The Nehalem will have better single thread at the same clocks as the FX but be doing it using lots more power.

I would use it if you can find a board for it and paired with a 1060. It should last you quite a while until you can fully build a new computer.

they perform about the same...when it come to gaming they are ''low/mid-range'' options...a good GPU to match with such CPU's would be around the GTX 780/970/1060 or radeon R9 280X/380X/290/390.

15$ is a good price...but it's worth nowhere near 200-300USD...a fair price would be around 85$ to 100$
