i personally wouldn't go for a Alienware laptop, solely because they have a tendency to be overpriced.(in my opinion!) If they are available in your country, i would look into some other brands, like MSI, or ASUS.

If you do go for the Alienware laptop though, it is a trusted brand (Alienware=DELL)

I've never had an alienware laptop but I had one of their desktops and it was awful.. kept breaking over and over, I got completely ripped off too. Make sure you know you are getting a good deal! I would go with msi or razer for laptops.

first thanks,

can you give me the model from Razer or MSI.

it will be helpful.

you said Awful now I am thinking about what to do next.

As for MSI I don't have any specific model, but for razer the Razer Blade is a very good laptop (watch what linus has to say on it!), but it is very expensive.

Remember my experience could have just been a one off, and it wasn't a laptop.

I think if you can afford it razer is the best gaming laptop, but of course it is your choice.

thanks,

but you know the problem is that razer blade is expensive for the spec they give only 970M 3 gb but,

on the other hand Alienware same price maybe 980M 8 gb.

that is the problem.

I have an Alienware 14, it was not a bad machine. Rather sturdy in terms of the structure, cooling is adequate enough (it gets loud sometimes but the 14 only has 1 fan so...). What I don't like about it is the thickness.

What country are you from and what is your budget?

I would recommend this. Thinner, but still efficient in cooling. But you may want to wait a little, as the newer models with the Pascal refresh are coming out really soon (though I don't know how soon), then you can weigh your options available and see whether Maxwell or Pascal is more worth for your money.

You may find other laptop retailers with an identical looking machine as they would have both used the Clevo P650Rx series of barebones.

EDIT:

Or this if you want another retailer. Different retailers have different levels of customisations.

Pascal is currently available. Pick up something like a 1070 in 15inch from HIDEvolution, BGA or socketed up to you.

You can certainly trust Alienware, as it is Dell's gaming company.

This is firstly bullshit, secondly a poor generalization. Alienware is so far up it's on ass it hasn't even launched Pascal along with everyone. They've moved into BGA for enthusiast laptops. They've gone backwards since they locked their products down to 330w for the sake of doing. Secure flash incoming.
