lol its not even a question. That PC would destroy your macbook in everything. Its not even a competition.

The increase in performance that PC would have over the macbook would be insane.

Gaming - Ryzen 5800X3D | 64GB 3200mhz  MSI 6900 XT Mini-ITX SFF Build

Home Server (Unraid OS) - Ryzen 2700x | 48GB 3200mhz |  EVGA 1060 6GB | 6TB SSD Cache [3x2TB] 66TB HDD [11x6TB]

Its worth noting that you do not need a 6700k or the liquid cooler if you aren't going to be overclocking, just get a 6700 and a 212 evo if you will not be overclocking.

Also, what are you going to be using this PC for? It is a very powerful PC, in a completely different realm of performance compared to the macbook, so you might be spending way more money than you need to.

Would that mean faster internet browsing speeds as well!? Because my mac

is pretty fast would the PC be even faster?

You're macbook would be a netbook compared to this thing. Also don't buy windows full price buy it from kinguin.net they're quite reputable and you'll save a bunch of money.

hardware has absolutely nothing to do with ethernet speeds. This PC will be used with an ethernet cable instead of wifi though, so you might see some increase in performance because wifi is unreliable. However you might see some difference just because the macbook is old. My family members 2013 macbook has gotten pretty slow at browsing the internet compared to my desktop PC even with very good wifi.

To get better internet speeds you would need to upgrade your internet.

I've heard a lot of of horror stories of people who have initially successfully installed Windows and then in three months windows stopped working.

Do you have any other recommendations as far as sites? Or is biting the bullet and pay $100 for windows my best option?

Some of the differences in performance will be in opening programs, booting the PC, and gaming. You macbook can not play games, while the PC will not only play games, its a high-end gaming PC you have picked out. I feel as though from someone using a macbook and only a macbook you severely overestimating the performance you need to do what you do effectively.

I don't want you buying and building a high-end gaming PC if you don't need it. What do you use your computer for or plan to use your computer for?

kinguin is generally regarded as reputable seller for windows and has been recommended by popular tech people. Windows won't just stop working three months later if your using a valid key, which you will get.

Then how come macs are so overpriced and popular? Your getting such shitty performance and your paying a premium?? Like you would think it would be really fast because of how expensive it is. If I was aware of the concept of building your own PC, I've would have never got this Mac :(

That's why people who don't own a mac, generally hate macs. Especially in the PC building community because we see the ludicrous price and the performance your getting. Your paying a massive premium purely for the looks, and the fact its Apple. A $800-900 dell laptop would outperform it (but it admittedly doesn't look as nice, but is it worth paying $1500 more?).

Yeah I didn't think people like Paul's Hardware would recommend it if it was a dodgy site.
