USB header on motherboard

So I have a bit of a problem here. I am trying to connect my Corsair H110iGT to my MSI Z170A Gaming M3 motherboard so that I can user the Corsair Link software`, but at the moment the (sole) usb 2.0 header on the motherboard is occupied by the cable that leads to the ports on the Define R5 case. If I use this cable on the sole USB 2.0 header on the motherboard:

will i be able to use the usb ports on the case AND use the Corsair Link software? Or will it be one or the other?

The cable is just standard USB. I ran mine out of a PCIE cover into the mobo and it works fine.
