GTX 1060. More money for your power outlet, more performance than the 970 and while more expensive, its worth it.

When compared to the 970, more power efficient. More effective than the 480, exept for bang for the buck, but its still +20 fps on some games.

Please show me where it's plus 20 fps that justifies paying 70 bucks more. You also didn't answer my question. Exactly how much world he be saving in energy costs by going with a 1060?

More 10-20fps (Tomb Raider) over the 480. That to me justifies the price difference in many titles where the difference is over 60fps (especially considering drivers and overhaul performance), since that was 200€ back in 2013, with the 770-780.

The GTX 1060 has a 120W TDP. The 970 has a 145W TDP. The 480 has a 150W TDP. The 1060 uses a peak performance of 206W, while the 480 uses a peak performance of 260W and the 970 a 213W.

Lmao. Pay $70 more because of one game? Going by your logic, the 480 is a steal:

Asus Z170-Deluxe, Core i7-6700K, 4 x 4 GByte DDR4-2133, Seasonic 520W Platinum Fanless; Win10 x64, Geforce 368.64, Radeon Software 16.7.2

Telling me how much they consume doesn't answer the question. Do the actual math and tell me how much one would be paying (and saving) buy going with a 1060 in actual $. You can use your country's energy rates if you want.

Oh, and make sure you use average consumption in your math and not peak. Judging by what you said, you don't know that peak consumption doesn't mean it consumes that all the time.

What i mean was that by taking into consideration the base TDP and the max peak performance, the difference between each of those points could give a point of reference as to how power efficient the card is, on various scenarios. Also i said Tomb Raider, because it was the most significant, but other games were seeing a 5-10 fps increase (which overlapped 60fps, which should be minimum). So using Portugal current 0.24€, a 1060 at average 126W and running 7 hours per day, yelds 86€ per year, whereas a 480 with an average of 196W yelds a 135€ per year (TechPowerUp consumption ratings at "Typical Gaming"). Alright, ill admit the RX 480 has more performance per value, but that is in theory, since AMD drivers are know to be choppy and AMD optimized games, obviously will go to those whereas Nvidia optimized games will too. Ashes of the Singularity, Doom and Hitman seem to be very AMD friendly, whereas the Rise of the Tomb Raider and Battlefield 4 are Nvidia friends. Yeah he might not have his pc turned on everyday running for more than 7 hours at gaming, but you asked for facts and here they are.

If you go with rx480 which is the better choice, get a custom 480, Red Devil looks great, super quiet and good performance (match 980)

Remember, RX480 seems to have advantage on the newest titles which means more future proof. Also more 2Gb over 1060.

Was that supposed to be an offense? Because if it is, ill consider you as an indignated person that cannot accept, even with factual evidences, that the 1060 regardless of the price is superior to an RX 480 and that your one of those "Im always right bitches". If it wasnt an offense, was it the formatting?
