980 vs 980ti?

Hello! I upgraded my 980ti with a 1080 (Custom loop).  I gave my brother my 980Ti but I put the aircooler back on because he did not want water cooling (Small PC - Does not fit), so I have an extra 980TI Waterblock, my friend wants to water cool his 980, is the does the 980 have the same PCB as the 980TI? (It might be a stupid question, but he wants to know)

why not just take it over to your friend and find out? could make a day out of it.

It is related to it, but its about the PCBs...

Agreed.

 

Some 980 blocks will work on some 970s (And Vice Versa) but not 980 TIs.  

Titan X blocks will work on reference 980 TI.

 

Edit.. Maxwell Titan X, of course.
